Work
The
Oak Grove Trust currently employ two community workers, our
part-time community worker is Becky Kemp and our full-time
worker is Darren Woodward - Their positions are part-funded
by grants from the Norfolk Children's Fund, with the remainder
funded by church members.They work on our behalf in the local
community of Catton Grove. Their work consists of running
our popular Kidz Klubs,
as well as being involved in many different activities within
the four local schools, including lunchtime and after school
clubs, as well as assisting with or taking lessons and assemblies,
and being an active part on the governing bodies. |
| Kids
at Heart
In an effort to offer a complete suite of services accessible
to local people, in their local community, The Oak Grove Trust
is the Lead Partner, in the Kids at Heart Partnership, developed
out of our association with Norfolk Children's Fund. Working
together with Family Matters, we are able to offer, in addition
to the other services listed elsewhere on this site:
- Support and friendship
to families with young children.
- Short Courses and
Workshops on understanding children and developing effective
communication within families.
- One to one support
to parents and carers.
- Pastoral and Counselling
support to families.
- Volunteer training
opportunities.

Community
Events
For many years, Oak Grove Chapel has been a part of this community,
and we believe that it is full of incredible,amazing and wonderful
people who deserve to be recognised.
For the past four years, amongst other events, we have successfully
staged and organised the Catton
Community Concert, in conjunction with Catton Grove First
& Middle Schools. This years event will be held on 1st
July 2006.
We
also stage an annual community christmas event, imaginatively
titled Celebrate Christmas, involving children, young people
and families from the area. The event which will be at St
Andrews Hall this year will be on 10th December 2006
